To Plant From Outside The Form (Recommended)
1.
Soak the moss filled form in water and let drain
2.
Create a hole in the moss large enough to accomodate the size
of the root of your choosen plant.
3.
Remove your plant from it’s pot and recycle most of
the soil from the roots. If your plant is well established
you may want to trim some of the excess root as this will
encourage vigorus root growth.
4.
Insert the plant into the hole you created in the moss and
tightly repack the moss around the roots.
5.
You may find that a 2” or greater potted plant has overgrown
itself. Many plants can be divided into several smaller sections
which will allow you to space your plants out giving greater
surface area coverage and a more completed looking topiary.
6.
Plant these smaller seperated sections following steps 2 to
4. Ferning pins may be required if your plants are installed
on a more vertical surface. This will hold the plant in place
while they root.

MAINTAINING YOUR TOPIARY
1.
Once you have your topiary planted, water with a good starter
fertilizer (10-52-10) and keep in a shaded area out of the
wind for several days before moving to the selected area in
your garden.
2.
Check for water as you would a hanging basket. Fertilize every
other week with a balanced 20-20-20 fertilizer.
3.
Remember each plant has it’s own unique water requirements.
Plant accordingly to ensure success.
